ATHENS, Greece -- Police have detained six people as part of an international police operation against human trafficking, local officials announced Saturday (September 18th). The investigation lasted eight months. The sting, conducted in co-operation with Bulgarian authorities, took place on Thursday (September 16th) and Friday. The arrested persons -- five Bulgarians and a Romanian woman -- allegedly gained hundreds of thousands of euros from human trafficking, forced prostitution and trafficking of human eggs.
