Suspect charged with 54 counts of prostitution
A 27-year-old Takoma Park man, who drove women to locations in the Annapolis area for the purposes of prostitution, has been charged with numerous counts of human trafficking and prostitution.
Freddy Leguisamon was arrested last month by Annapolis police, after an investigation that combined the efforts of several law enforcement and government agencies. He faces 54 counts of general prostitution, eight counts of receiving compensation from human trafficking, five counts of taking another person to a place for the purpose of human trafficking, and four counts of operating a prostitution business.
He remains at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $250,000 bond.

Since May, police have executed three search and seizure warrants related to Leguisamon's prostitution activities. The warrants involved locations on Johnson Place in Annapolis, Loretta Avenue in Anne Arundel County and Hannon Street in Prince Georges' County.
Officers discovered that some of the women involved in the activity were in the country illegally and working as prostitutes to pay off debts they or their families owed.
The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration, the Social Security Administration, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Marshals Service, Anne Arundel County Police Department, Prince Georges' County Sheriffs Department and Police Department, and Maryland State Police assisted the Annapolis Police in the investigation.
