The Spring 2015 issue of synergy Synergy, the Resource Center on Domestic Violence: Child Protection and Custody's (RCDV: CPC) semi-annual newsletter, is now available! Volume 18, No. 1 of Synergy is dedicated to the topic of domestic child sex trafficking (DCST). Our lead article offers an overview of DCST and explores the dynamics of coercive control and the trafficking victim that makes the prosecution of exploiters and protection of DCST victims so challenging. Other issue highlights include an interview with anti-trafficking pioneer, Leah Albright-Byrd, a trafficking survivor who founded Bridget's Dream, a California-based organization that works with young trafficking victims, and articles about impact of trafficking on the LGBT and Native American communities.
