Sponsored workers in Kuwait are 'modern day slaves'

Foreign workers in Kuwait have complained that the sponsored workers system which is currently in place is unfair, whilst human rights groups have described it as 'modern day slavery'.
The "Kafeel" is a sponsored workers system which is widely used in most Gulf countries. Workers who come from abroad are usually tied to their sponsor, or local employer and have strict restraints that they must adhere to.
