Two Bulgarian nationals have been arrested in the Greek city of Patra, southern Greece, and charged with human trafficking, the Bulgaria news agency (BTA) reported on August 25 2010.
The man, who was left unnamed, was arrested along with a Kurdish national during an attempt to smuggle people en route to Italy.
Both men had a rendezvous with a woman, also a Bulgarian national, who was driving a vehicle containing 18 concealed illegal immigrants, media reports said. All of them were bound to Italy. The nationality of the immigrants was also not made available in the report.
All three have been arrested. The case continues.
