On 19 October at the end of Anti-Slavery Week in the UK, the UK Parliament will debate a landmark piece of legislation that if passed, will ensure big business is doing its part to end modern slavery.
The UK Transparency in Company Supply Chains Bill will require all companies grossing over GBP100 million annually to publicly report what they are doing to ensure their business is slave free. The Bill has been introduced by MP Michael Connerty following the passage of similar legislation in California and is the first of its kind at a national level.
Support from MP's across all parties will be required for the Bill to pass. Tell Parliament that business free of slavery is better business for everyone. Pledge now and we'll deliver your commitment to the Parliament when they vote this week.
