LONDON
(Thomson Reuters Foundation) - The British government's proposed law to
wipe out modern-day slavery is a landmark piece of legislation but
needs to focus more on victims to ensure a higher rate of convictions.
That is the view of Caroline Spelman, a member of a cross-party committee of parliamentarians charged with scrutinising the draft law published last year.
