MAP: Ending human trafficking, saving millions

An interactive map of some noteworthy government initiatives and NGOs fighting against international trafficking.

There are 27 million people trafficked every year, across borders, over oceans, right into your hometown. The State Department's annual Trafficking in Persons report, released Tuesday, breaks down each country's ranking on how well they deal with trafficking, from 1 (the best) to 3 (the worst). But many governments couldn't be as successful as they are without the great work of regional and local non-governmental organizations. Modern day slavery is far from being eradicated, but progress is being made and creative solutions are being found. 
We made this interactive map, which will be added to whenever we hear about a new, innovative way to combat trafficking.
